about

"If you want a picture of the future, imagine a boot stamping on a human face - forever." - 1984 (George Orwell)

[SIDE A]

While diving in the ocean of sound, Golden Moses puts his trust in a mechanized simulation of himself that he finds there.

They speak to one another. They do a dance. They visit the aquarium together, where they watch the fish. They pass into a parallel universe, where the simulated Golden Moses "is" the real Golden Moses. For a moment it is something like love, and the real Golden Moses vanishes into his simulated self.

[SIDE B]

The simulated Golden Moses, who is now the real Golden Moses, takes on a new form: GoogleMonsanto.

Using his godlike mechanical powers of digital creation, GoogleMonsanto heals Golden Moses' childhood trauma, violently restores order to the world, and then passes back into the universe where he and the original ("real") Golden Moses first met.

Back in this "real" dimension, GoogleMonsanto learns the power of letting go of his definition of self. He then remembers something important, but immediately forgets it.

The simulated Golden Moses, GoogleMonsanto, then collapses, rusts, and dies, as all machines are likely to do at some time or another, leaving the original "real" Golden Moses all alone, to begin the cycle again, should he choose to do so.

Story inspired by actual events.
